SLEEP WELL

Sleep Well
Getting a good night's sleep is very important for your health. Not getting enough sleep makes you feel tired during the day and can have negative effects on your health. So what can you do to get a good night's sleep? Read on to find out.

One important thing in getting a good night's sleep is to make sure your bedroom is conducive to sleep. It is important to keep your bedroom dark. Research has shown that even a small amount of light in your bedroom can prevent a good night's sleep. Your bedroom should also be the right temperature. Most people sleep well in a room that is around 18° C (65° F). If your bedroom is too hot or too cold, this can interfere with a good night's sleep.

Another important factor in getting a good night's sleep is staying on a sleep schedule. This means going to bed and waking up at the same time each day. This includes weekends and holidays. Going to sleep and waking up at irregular times disrupts your body's sleep clock and this can lead to poor quality sleep.

People who exercise regularly often generally sleep better. This is because your body uses sleep to rest and recover. If there is nothing for your body to recover from, this can lead to a lower quality of sleep. The time you exercise is important. Morning and afternoon are the best. If you exercise too close to bedtime, you will make yourself more awake and then have trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep. It is best to refrain from exercise 3-4 hours before bed.

Eating a snack before bed can also help you sleep better. Tryptophan is a chemical that can help you sleep better. It is found in foods such as egg whites, cod (a type of fish), soybeans, pumpkin seeds, cheddar cheese, turkey, and wheat. Combining these foods with carbohydrates (bread, potatoes, cereals, etc) in a pre-bedtime snack, can help you fall asleep.

You should avoid nicotine and caffeine before bedtime. This means no smoking before bed. The drug nicotine, which is found in cigarettes, is a stimulant and it will keep you awake. You should also avoid caffeine. Caffeine is found in foods such as chocolate, tea, and coffee. There are also some drugs, such as pain killers, that contain caffeine. Some expertsthink that it is a good idea to avoid caffeine completely because it can stay in your body for up to 12 hours.

Sleeping well is essential for a happy and healthy life. Not sleeping well can negatively affect your energy levels and your health. So if you find yourself not getting a good night's sleep, follow some of this advice and you'll be sleeping well in no time.

USES OF GOLD

Uses of Gold
A Most people know that gold has been used in coins, jewelry and art since before recorded history. But what is less well-known is that gold has been and still is used for many other things.

B Gold has been used in medicine for a long time. In medieval Europe people thought that gold was good for your health. They thought that since gold was so pure and rare that it had to be good for you. This isn't true because gold is inert the body. This means that the chemicals in the human body cannot affect gold, therefore, it doesn't do anything while it is in the body. But gold is used successfully in dentistry. Dentists use gold to fix people's teeth.

C In medieval Europe, gold leaf (very, very thin pieces of gold) were used as a decoration in food and drinks. Gold is still used in this way. Gold leaf is mostly used in gourmet sweets and drinks. As it has no taste or smell, gold is used as decoration only in food. Flakes (very small pieces) of gold are also used in some traditional European herbal drinks. Some other drinks that use gold can cost 1,000 dollars!

D Gold is also used in combination with other metals. It gets mixed with these metals. The mixture is better because gold is not affected by air, moisture or corrosive chemicals such as acid. This is one reason why it is used for coins and in jewelry.

E Electricity moves very well through gold. It also does not corrode, which means that it lasts a long time without being damaged by the air or chemicals. Because of these two properties, gold is used in electronics. This is the most common industrial use of gold. It is also used in wires that need to carry a lot of electricity. But gold is also used in everyday electronics such as mobile phones and computers.

F Gold is also used in other ways. It is used in glass production to change the color of the glass. Gold can also be made so thin that you can see through it. Because of this, it can also be put on the glass of the cockpit (where the pilot sits) of some airplanes. When electricity is passed through the gold that is on this glass, it stops ice from forming on the glass. This type of gold plating also prevents some of the instruments in the cockpit from being damaged by radiation. Gold is also used in photography to change the colors of the photograph. It is also used in satellites, cars, CDs and space suits.

G Although we mostly think of gold as being used in jewelry or for money, it is has many other uses. In the future, gold will continue to be very useful for a wide variety of purposes.

TYPES OF FAMILIES

Types of Families

An American Extended Family
A family is a group of people that have a common ancestor. They usually live together in the same house. Although it is a fact that not all families are the same, they can be categorized into different types.

A nuclear family consists of parents and their children living together. In many countries in Europe and North American this is the most common form of family. There are three types of nuclear families. In the first type the father works and the mother cares for the children. In the second type, the mother works and the father says at home with the children. In the third type of family, both parents work. This last type of family is the most common in the USA and Canada.

In an extended family, different family members such as grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins live together. In many areas of the world, such as Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Southern Europe, this type of family is common.

Recently in some countries, couples are choosing to have only one child. These types of families are called single child families. Some people believe that children raised in these kinds of families are spoilt, selfish and lonely. But research doesn’t support this.

Some families have no children at all. The couples that make up these families sometimes make the choice not to have children because they want to have more free time. Some couples choose not to have children for financial reasons.

Families with only one parent are called single parent families. There are several causes of these types of families. The first reason is divorce. Another reason is that the one of the parent dies, leaving the surviving parent widowed. Additionally, some parents never get married in the first place.

As the basis of all societies, families of all types are very important . This is true now and will be true in the future as well.
